So I have not been posting. It was rather optimistic to think I would have time, however the thesis research is now  completed and I have compiled a story map to provide a pictorial and interactive synopsis of the project. A section of Ottawa Street North in Hamilton has been redesigned to manage most of the stormwater runoff from a three block stretch. This section of Ottawa Street currently is currently almost 97% impervious, covered over with asphalt, buildings and concrete. The same model of stormwater management could be applied to much of the downtown core reducing flooding, cleaning water and air, and providing shade and beauty to the streetscape.
